Trail of US Journalists in North Korea

Laura Ling and Euna Lee are the US journalists who are about to go on trial in North Korea. Both of them are accused of illegal entry and hostile acts. If the both journalist found guilty, they could end up in prison or a labour camp. Laura Ling and Euna Lee are journalists with San Francisco-based Current TV, former US Vice-President Al Gore's media company. They went to the border between China and North Korea to report on the plight of North Korean refugees who try to escape across the porous frontier into China.

According to officials in Pyongyang, guards arrested them on 17 March and accused them of crossing into North Korea illegally. Laura Ling and Euna Lee now find themselves at the mercy of the same system. There is still a lot of confusion as to whether they are actually guilty of crossing the border themselves. The families of both the journalists are begging the government to send them back to their home.
