IIFA kicks off in Macau


The 10th IIFA awards starts in china and the stars of Bollywood arrives in Macau,china. Singer Peter Andre has made one of his first public appearances since his split with model Katie Price at the start of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Macau, China. The singer, who is performing at the three-day Bollywood extravaganza, was welcomed by singing gondoliers, cheering fans and members of the media. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the IIFA awards, an event that attracts a worldwide audience of millions every year. The awards began in 2000 when the first ceremony was held in London at the Millennium Dome. The event has since been held in Amsterdam, Dubai, Bangkok and Sheffield, with Macao hosting this year's festivities. This year's recipients are actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan's daughter-in-law, and Slumdog Millionaire composer AR Rahman.
