A woman who admitted starving her children's pet rabbit to death has been banned from keeping animals for five years. Lynsey McMartin, 26, from Whins of Milton, near Stirling, was also fined £150. Stirling Sheriff Court was told that McMartin left the rabbit locked in a garden hutch without food or water after fleeing from an abusive partner. The dead animal was only discovered after neighbours called the SSPCA. McMartin was later tracked down by the animal welfare charity.
